The inaugural NBF Executive Forum was hosted on the 22nd June 2006 with international guest of honour, Carly Fiorina, former CEO of Hewlett-Packard, addressing the audience on Global Leadership.
The forum proved to be an overwhelming success and included a presentation by Dr Reuel Khoza on African Leadership incorporating the NBF African Leadership Development Programme.
The address delivered by Carly, focussed on women in business and leadership in the current global socio-economic and political climate.
After Carly’s speech, the floor was opened to questions, leading to several candid debates relating to the role of women in business and their future path, Africa in the global context and her passion for Africa and in particular South Africa. With this first forum as the bench mark for further events, the NBF is certainly tasked to deliver quality CEO networking events.
The event was held at the PriceWaterhourseCoopers Head Office and was attended by several executive business people such as Wendy Appelbaum, Thoko Mogkosi-Mwantembe (Hewlett Packard), Manana Moroka (Proudly South African) and Rudolph Louw (Boeing).
