About Africa Infrastructure Desk (Afri-ID)
Afri-ID was established to support the NEPAD thematic areas on regional integration and infrastructure by mobilising the private sector to participate in initiatives such as the SADC regional infrastructure masterplan, SADC regional masterplan and the NEPAD Programme for Infrastructure Development in Africa (PIDA) projects.
Value Proposition
Afri-ID is a multi-stakeholder platform that drives infrastructure development in Africa’s Transport and Energy sectors by championing and implementing projects through private sector intervention and facilitating early-stage engagement of private sector in infrastructure project preparation.
Through this programme , the NBF serves as a neutral facilitator in the following projects:
- North-South Rail Corridor (NSC), and
- SADC Regional Gas Programme (RGMP)
